Prayaan Capital Private Limited was incorporated on December 10th 2018, and was granted the NBFC Certificate of Registration on 6th June 2019 for conducting business as a non-deposit taking NBFC with their Registered and Corporate Office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The word Prayaan meaning Journey was conceptualised by the founders intending to service the complete business needs of its customers and thereby co-travelling with them on their entrepreneurial “Journey”.

Prayaan was established and currently run by professionals with rich experience in banking and financial services industry specifically in the MSME markets. The leadership team at Prayaan, with a combined experience of over one hundred and fifty years is committed to inclusively servicing, small businesses with a combination of both Technology and Retail Branches.

Sujatha Madhan Mohan

Sujatha Mohan is a Retail Banking analyst with experience in Collections, Customer Service, Sales and Business Development. She has been associated with the ITES and Consumer Risk Management for companies such as Amazon Development Centre and TCS eServe Limited (formerly known as Citi group Global Services Limited). Her expertise spans from operational management of merchant selling platforms to managing the collections strategy. With a M.Sc. in Information Technology she has brought a unique understanding of integrating the operational, and customer service platforms to provide for efficient lending models.

Srinivasavaradhan

Srinivasavaradhan, graduated in MBA – Finance from Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai, has over 32 years of experience in the Rural Credit Oriented Fertilizers Industry in various roles in the area of Strategic Planning, Credit Policy, Collection Management, Internal Audit, Finance, Accounts and MIS. Experienced in Developmental Marketing in Rural Areas of South India with zero bad debts. As the Head of Finance & Accounts of Madras Fertilizers Limited with an annual turnover of around Rs 2600 Crores, he ably coordinated with the Government Departments and Banks for making available the required capital at the right time to manage the business operations. Srinivasavaradhan is leading the Finance and Accounts for Prayaan, and would also be giving strategic inputs to the overall functioning of the organization.

Tharasree Amarnath

Tharasree Amarnath has over 20 years of global experience in the Information Technology industry and has successfully delivered large portfolio of projects for clients like CITI, UOB, Axis Bank, Colt Technology Services across multiple sectors such as Banking, Telecommunications and Manufacturing, covering different geographies across the USA, UK & APAC. She has expertise in managing delivery of several business applications from concept-to-completion with tangible business outcomes through the digital transformation journey. She is a distinguished thought leader with proven management skills in project planning & implementation, high quality & CSAT, customer & vendor management, system design & development lifecycle management, data analytics, developing business intelligence strategic road maps, and building effective teams aligned to organization goals. For Prayaan, Tharasree is leading all the technology initiatives organization wide and is responsible for the IT transformation in each of the department.

Umasankar

Umasankar has an overall experience of 35 years in Credit & Risk largely in the MSME space. He started his career with IDBI (Industrial Development Bank of India) from where he moved internally to SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), having served a total of 30 years in IDBI & SIDBI, he took VRS as Deputy General Manager. He then was with Manappuram Finance Limited as National Credit Head where he built a non-gold loan portfolio of 3000+ Cr. Within Manappuram his last posting was as Chief Risk & Credit Officer of Asirvad Micro Finance. He is a veteran of the MSME field in Credit & Risk having been with large reputed institutions where his contributions to building diverse and quality portfolios is well known. For Prayaan, he is leading the entire Credit, Risk & Fraud Control department.

Parthasarathy S

Parthasarathy S comes with a strong experience in Accounts & Finance with over 20 years in the field, of which 9 years are with large NBFCs. Over the tenure of his career he has worked with various organizations in the capacity of CFO managing Fund Raising, Asset and Liability Management, Regulatory Compliances, Working Capital Management, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, ERP and Taxation, to name a few. He has worked with institutions such as Varam Capital Pvt Ltd, Samasta Microfinance Pvt Ltd, and Inditrade Micro Finance Pvt Ltd. In his last role he was part of leadership team at Pahal Financial Services based in Ahmedabad and working in the capacity of Finance Controller. Prior to this he was the Chief Financial Officer for Growing Opportunity Finance India Pvt Ltd, Chennai.

Sindhuja A M

Sindhuja holds a Bachelors degree of Commerce, Bachelors degree of Law and is a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She has a rich experience of more than 10 years in the gamut of Secretarial activities, having handled secretarial work for private, public & listed companies, corporate legal assignments, and secretarial audits for various listed & unlisted companies. She has wide exposure with respect to secretarial and compliances under the Companies Act, 2013, the FEMA Act, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, and the SEBI regulations. For Prayaan, she is taking care of the Secretarial and Compliances based at Chennai Corporate Office.
